12/6 - SUNDAY vs. SATURDAY

REALITY

12/5 - Ccccccccold and windy!!  And a Brutal wind direction to boot!

Gave me pure hell up in he river after fishing the south jetty in super dingy looking water on a rising tide, with NO BITES!

Good gawd the Jetties (where I want to fish) just isn't the same anymore during the winter.

I have proof, in videos and photos of what we ""used"" to do out there, especially on the float-rig and live shrimp.

TROUT & YELLOWMOUTH TROUT (weakfish) used to be the absolute mainstay of my winter existence.  It's been years since we've slaughtered the 2-4 pound Yellowmouths like we used too.

And I won't even go into the Speckled Trout from 5-8 pounds that I've caught.

The most abundant fish seems to be those absolute crap fish the rock gobies and blennies, "whatever ya wanna call them", that'll eat you out of house and bait!

Well, either way it's all in the name of "progress" I guess....

SATURDAY 12/5: was a super struggle. NW winds at 20 knots, Cold as hell. A 1/2 day 4 hr charter had to go to a 6-7 hr. if you wanted to actually catch anything worth a hoot.

B-U-T, everyone want to go the cheap route.  Yes, charters run a $125.00 a hour up to 4 persons. And when YOU pick the day versus ME picking the day. You need to re-think why you're really out there.

I DO NOT CONTROL THE FISH, THE WEATHER, YOUR ABILITIES, AND THE ROTATION OF THE EARTH!

TODAY, SUNDAY 12/6: NORTH WINDS UP TO 10 KNOTS.....NO SMALL CRAFT CAUTIONS OR ADVISORIES!

AND DO YOU THINK THE PUBLIC WANTED TO GO TODAY?

N-O-P-E!

WE DID MANAGE SOME FISH YESTERDAY.  TROUT, CROAKERS OF COURSE AND FINALLY A NICE FAT BLACK DRUM...

""WHAT I TRIED FOR ON 2 DIFFERENT SPOTS SEVERAL TIMES"""

Khiro, hit the bottom after I said,

"there ought to be some Black Drum down there, this is the tide! Last time I fished here we had 4 in a row and some Sheepshead.''

and he was instantly hooked up and fighting this fish.

It was getting late, and now again the wind started to blow us off the spot. So we headed in after a frustrating day to clean a few Speckled Trout, a Jack Crevalle, Khiro wanted to try out. Yes, a Jack Crevalle, still hanging around! And a Whiting.

We had a few throw back Trout too, croakers of course and all those damn catfish that seem to chew on really bad days.

WEEKENDS......Ugh!!!!!!  Every where I went was piled with boats. There was some flats boat tournament going on, also.

REMEMBER THIS:

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, GO ON A MONDAY THRU WEDNESDAY. I'LL TAKE $50 BUCKS OFF, JUST BECAUSE THERE'S LESS HEAD-ACHES DEALING WITH ALL THE CROWDS!

THAT DOESN'T COUNT FOR AROND HOLIDAYS THAT MONDAY IS A DAY OFF FOR THE MASSES.

BOAT SALES WERE IF NOT STILL THREW THE ROOF THIS SUMMER. THE COLORED HULL "CLONE" BOATS OUT THERE ARE LIKE SUV's, IN A WALMART PARKING LOT❗❗❗

I DO THE BEST I CAN, BUT WHEN THERE'S SO MANY PEOPLE ON THE FEW DECENT SPOTS, I CAN ONLY DO WHAT I CAN.

AND """"""""""""ALWAYS""""""""""""""""" CONSULT ME ABOUT DAYS, TIDES AND WEATHER.

MY REGULARS HAVE LEARNED TO DO THAT OVER THE YEARS.

LIKE: TRAVELER BOB, DR. MIKE, TROUT SNOB AARON, RENO TONY, VIRGINIA DAVE, AND MANY MORE.

MY GOOGLE WEEKLY POSTS:  that no one every pays attention too, and I offer deals❗👀❗
