-REDFISH, GIANT BULLS STILL MAKING 'BIG FISH' MEMORIES  

-SPECKLED TROUT, OH I LOVE ME SOME WINTER ''T-REX SIZED'', TROUT!

-BLACK DRUM, THEY'RE GETTING BIGGER

-BIG FAT WHITING, OVER 15 INCHES!

-SHEEPSHEAD...GETTING BEAT UP HARD, DON'T HAVE TO SAY ANYMORE

-EVEN HAD A 15-20 POUND TRIPLETAIL NEXT TO THE BOAT, 2 WEEKS AGO!

-FLOUNDER, SEEM TO BE MOVING STRAIGHT EAST IN RIVER, and are willing to go home with you!

-WINTER WEAKFISH, (aka: yellowmouth trout) FILLING THE FISH BOX GAPS

-CROAKERS, BIG ONES!

AND MANY OF THE TRULY UNDESIRABLES ARE GONE, NOT BITING, AND NOT ANNOYING ME.

I LOVE THE COLD WATER!

AND IF YOU'VE READ ANY OF MY OTHER REPORTS OR HOW-TO'S HERE BEFORE. YOU READ HOW I LOVE K.I.S.S FISHING. NO HEAVY RODS, OR SINKERS. NO CHASING BAIT. I USE LIVE & DEAD SHRIMP AND CAN CATCH EVERY SPECIES FROM THE LIST ABOVE, IN THE RIVER AND AT THE JETTIES, WITH EASE.

ALMOST TOO GOOD OF WEATHER. JACKSONVILLE'S 'MAYPORT JETTIES'.....CRAWLING WITH BOATS.  

Totally different thing, when it's cold and crappy.....I think I like it way better then!

I'm in the ''people business', and have a ball with everyone on my charter boat. But, I could do without crowds.  Every where I'd like to try, we can't. Plus, I can tell there's a difference, when no one is around, especially in the river. (st. johns river) when Trout fishing. Less wakes, makes for a better day overall.  Couldn't bring myself to ''float-rig'' fish, with all this going on. So, we bottom fished, and threw some jigs and shrimp, mostly for a variety of species.

I love winter.....''no sweatin' fishin'''.
